Bhubaneswar: Following intelligence inputs on possible terror attacks using the coast, the Superintendents of Police (SPs) of seven coastal districts of Odisha have been kept on high alert.

In a letter, Railways & Coastal Security ADG, Pranabindu Acharya today asked SPs of Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Puri, Berhampur and Ganjam to remain alert in view of terror threats. Also, 18 marine police stations under the purview of the seven police districts have been put on alert.

The SPs have been asked to tighten of patrolling along the coast and sea.

“A letter has been issued to SPs asking them to tighten security and monitor costal patrolling,” said Acharya.
