Another Video Of Celebratory Firing In Odisha Goes Viral

Puri: Call it show of strength or prestige battle, incidents of blank or celebratory firing seems to have now become the latest trend in Odisha. This was again evident after a video of two youths firing shots in the air went viral on social media recently.

As per sources, the video of youths resorting to blank firing is from Puri which was recently in news after a similar video had gone viral.

In the first incident, bodyguards of a businessman, Narayan Sahu were seen firing bullets in air during a party in Baliasahi under Town Police limits of Puri district. Later, Puri Town police arrested the businessman and three of his security guards in connection with the incident.

In the latest video, the youths present are said to be the bodyguards of the same businessman Narayan Sahu

Puri SP Umashankar Dash, stated that the youths seen in the viral video have been identified.

“Earlier, a case was registered in connection with the illegal firing and now we have come across another video in social media. We have identified the youths and action will be taken as per law,” said Dash.
