Cuttack: Two days after videos of some nurses frolicking inside the emergency Special Newborn Care Unit of Malkangiri DHH made headlines, one more video of hospital staff dipped in the craze of the video sharing app has come to the fore. This time the incident has been reported from Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital.

According to sources, TikTok videos showing some hospital attendants engaged in the Orthopaedics department of SCB hospital dancing to the tune of several Hindi and Odia songs have now started to make rounds on social media.

The video showed some attendants singing and dancing inside the emergency ward in the presence of patients.

One of the attendants named Parbati Samal clarified that the incident had happened seven to eight months ago but she had no idea that it was shot.

“She asked me to shoot a video but when I refused, she jokingly caught my hand and began to dance. I thought it was a loving gesture and so I did not protest,” said Samal.

Earlier on Wednesday, TikTok videos of four nurses at Malkangiri hospital had gone viral.

After the incident, Malkangiri District Magistrate Manish Agarwal had ordered the four nurses to go on leave based on the recommendation of the Chief District Medical Office (CDMO), Ajit Kumar Mohanty.

Odisha Health Minister Naba Das has also sought a report in connection with the incident.
