Bhawanipatna: A day after BJD leader and Minister Niranjan Pujari was opposed, the party’s Kalahandi Lok Sabha candidate Puspendra Singh Deo faced similar wrath from people during a poll campaign rally at Kaudala village in Kalahandi district on Saturday. The matter came to light after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

As per reports, villagers questioned Singh Deo about his promises made during the 2014 elections. Despite repeated appeals to resolve drinking water and road problems, the authorities did not take any step to address such issues, the villagers alleged.

Though the party’s candidate from Dharmagarh Assembly constituency, Mausidi Bag and other BJD activists were present at the spot when the incident occured.

Despite repeated attempts, Singh Deo's statements could not be obtained on the entire incident.

Earlier, BJD's candidate from Sonepur Niranjan Pujari faced public wrath during a poll meeting at Kutasira village under Tarabha block in Sonepur district on Friday. A group of villagers opposed Pujari over lack of developmental activities in the region.
