Cuttack: As part of his bail conditions stipulated by Orissa High Court a 19-year old, accused of outraging the modesty of a girl, has now decided to be part of a move to collect blood for needy patients.

"From among the two other conditions like doing a `kar seva` in a temple or spending a part of his pocket money towards providing chocolates, pencils, cloth or study materials for the inmates of an orphanage, the boy opt doing the latter," said his counsel Maitreejit Mohanty here.

The high court had initially granted bail to the boy under the conditions that he should perform `kar seva` in a temple by cleaning shoes of the devotees visiting the local Chandi Mandir for two hours every Sunday for 12 weeks.

However, when the boy`s family approached the High Court seeking modification of the `kar seva` conditions, the single-judge bench of Justice C R Dash revoked the earlier order modifying it with three other options and giving liberty to the boy to choose any two.
