Subarnapur: A day after the unfortunate incidents of house collapse in Puri and Jaleswar that claimed at least six lives, another similar incident took place at Jambhalipali village under Ulunda block in Subarnapur district where a couple died as wall of their neighbor's house collapsed last night.The deceased identified as Nata Nayak (40) and Surabali Nayak (35) are survived by two daughters and a son.
 
The incident occurred while the husband-wife duo was asleep at night. The wall of the house was rendered weak due to heavy rain and it caved in following a drizzle last night, sources said.  They were rushed to a local health center where doctors declared them brought dead.
 
At least four persons including two children were killed under the debris of the wall of a dilapidated lodge in Puir while two women met similar fate in Jaleswar of Balsore district yesterday as the wall of their cowshed caved in. Four cows were also killed in the incident.
 
 
CM Naveen Patnaik declared compensation of Rs 1 lakh each to the families of both Puri and Jaleswar victims. The government also announced to bear the medical expenses of the injured in Puri incident.
