Bhubaneswar: BJP leader L K Advani`s "Jan Chetna Yatra" is slated to enter Orissa on October 23 to make people aware of alleged corruption like 2G spectrum and CWG scams during the UPA rule at the Centre. Advani is scheduled to address five public meetings at Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal and Cuttack during the three-day visit of the yatra in the state, senior BJP leader and yatra in-charge for Orissa, Vijay Goel told reporters.

"Besides highlighting scams like 2G spectrum, CWG and Adarsh housing society scandals, largescale corruption during BJD rule in Orissa would also be highlighted during the programme," he said adding the state witnessed a series of scams including mining, dal and land scandals.

"The sole objective of the yatra is to highlight the need for good governance and clean politics. It will stress the need for sustained onslaught against corruption," he said. Dismissing suggestions that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was not being involved in the yatra, Goel said Modi would actively participate in the programme during its passage through his state. On Anna Hazare`s crusade against corruption, Goel said the Gandhian`s battle would not end with Jan Lokpal bill and he may take up the issue of electoral reforms in the country as his next agenda.
