Bhubaneswar: Bengali actress Elsha Ghosh, who had accused Odia movie director Dilip Panda of misbehaviour and mental harassment, has now taken a u-turn on the issue and said that it was a misunderstanding between her and the director.

"In the heat of the moment I thought I was misbehaved by him but that doesn't mean that it was any sort of casting couch or anything like #MeToo allegations," said Elsha.

However, the actress admitted that she was mentally tortured.

On the other hand, Panda clarified that the actress was scolded for not focussing on her work but she termed it as mental torture.

"The actress has realised her mistake. It is not easy to complete shoot of a movie in 45 days. If an actor is not performing and is being scolded for that, can we term it as mental torture?" questioned Panda.

The matter had come to light after a video of the actress screaming and alleging the director of mentally harassing her went viral on social media.

The incident had occurred during the audio release of upcoming Odia movie ‘Tu Mo Suna Chadhei’ in a private hotel on Wednesday night.
