Cuttack: The Annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by the Orissa Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is all set to begin tomorrow.

Some 4.85 lakh students across the state are scheduled to write the examinations in at least over 2000 examination centers both in regular and ex-regular streams. The examinations would continue till April 4.

To check malpractices during the examinations, the Board has set up nearly 100 squads to supervise the examinations and report if any discrepancies are observed at any center.

"While 90 squads are formed at zonal level in each district, some elite squads are also formed at the board and government level," said BSE president Satyakam Mishra.

Besides, some observers have been appointed to ensure smooth conduct of the exams in each education circle. There are 19 circles and each circle inspector is having nearly 70 flying squads under their disposal for supervision.
