Bhubaneswar: Protesting the gross apathy of the state government in fulfilling their demands within the specified time frame, lecturers and staffs of 662 category block grant colleges resumed their agitation in the capital city on Wednesday.

Talking to the media persons, the aggrieved teachers and staffs said the state government had agreed to March 15 as the deadline to fulfill their demands to abolish block grant system and give permanent appointment.

“Though the deadline has expired in the mean time, the government has not taken any steps. So, we have decided to boycott the annual Plus Two evaluation scheduled to begin from April 4 if the state government fails to meet our demands by March 30,” they said.
