Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch (CB) of State Police today nabbed six persons, including four police officials, for their alleged connection in police constable recruitment examination paper leak case.

Informing mediapersons here about the arrests, CB additional director-general B.K. Sharma said, “We have arrested six persons – four police officials, a candidate and a local resident – for their involvement in the leak of police constable written question paper.”

The arrested police officials are Odisha Havildar, Sepoy and Constable Mahasangh secretary Kishor Kumar Mohanty, Bhubaneswar 7th Battalion sepoy Dinesh Kumar Pradhan, driver Biswa Ranjan Muduli and Koraput OSAP 3rd Battalion sepoy Bibhu Ranjan Muduli. A candidate Mrutunjaya Mansingh and another person Biswajit Mohanty, both from Cuttack, were also arrested, added Sharma.

Notably, Odisha Police State Council Board, which was conducting the test, cancelled the exam after it got reports on question papers leak.
