35 injured in separate road accidents in Odisha

Sambalpur/Keonjhar: At least 35 persons sustained injuries in separate road mishaps in Sambalpur and Keonjhar district on Tuesday.

As per reports, ten persons were injured after the bus in which they were travelling overturned near Beheranbasa area in Jujumura of Sambalpur district. The mishap occurred when the private bus was en route to Kesapali from Sambalpur.

All the injured have been admitted to District headquarters hospital and Sadar hospital while four of them who sustained critical injuries were rushed to Burla hospital in Sambalpur where they are undergoing treatment.

On being informed police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident, though the exact reason behind the mishap is not yet established.

In another incident, a bus carrying employees of Tata Project Limited met with an accident in Joda area of Keonjhar district. Reportedly, the bus was returning to Joda after completion of work at the Khondbond mines.

Twenty five persons sustained injuries while five of them were rushed to Tata Steel hospital in Joda in critical condition, informed sources.
