30 picnickers injured as bus overturns

Dhenkanal: Picnic turned nightmare for passengers from Soro in Balasore district when the bus they were travelling in overturned near Deula Sahi square here today injuring 30 of them including some children.

The bus carrying around 40 passengers was coming to Kapilas after visiting Saptasajya in the morning. The driver lost control over the vehicle which hit a roadside electric pole before ramming a car from rear at Deula Sahi in the town.

Alerted, police rushed to the spot and called for medical help. All the injured were rushed to district headquarters hospital where passengers with grievous injuries are undergoing treatment.
