Previous Crypto Fraud Cases

The raid follows a crackdown last month when Cuttack cyber police arrested three individuals, identified as Abinash Ojha, Gagan Sahu, and Prateek Chaurasia, in connection with a Rs 13.72 lakh cryptocurrency scam.

The accused had used pre-activated SIM cards and posed as bank employees to lure victims into fraudulent cryptocurrency investments.

Authorities had frozen 39 bank accounts and seized Aadhaar cards, bank passbooks, and other incriminating materials. The victim, a local resident, lost over Rs 13.72 lakh.
