3 killed in separate road accidents in Odisha

Bhawanipatna/Dhenkanal: Three persons lost their lives in two separate road accidents on Sunday.

According to reports, two persons lost their lives and five others were severely injured in an accident at Ratanpur Chowk in Bhawanipatna as the car they were travelling in rammed into a truck.

The passengers were returning from a wedding feast late last night from Bhawanipatna and were heading towards Bhanjanagar when the incident took place.

All the injured were taken to the Bhawanipatna Hospital initially. On reaching the hospital, the doctors affirmed the death of two persons named Ganga Pradhan and Shashi Arukh. The other injured have been shifted to Burla hospital for further treatment.

In another incident, a biker lost his life and another person sustained severe injuries in a road accident in Dhenkanal. According to reports, the accident took place near Mandar area under Gondia police limits in Dhenkanal.

The deceased has been identified as an APR constable.  The injured has been admitted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.
