3 killed, 5 injured in road accident in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: Three persons were killed and five others suffered serious injuries in a road accident near Pathuriaguda on Cuttack-Paradip road today.

The incident took place when a speeding car collided with a scooter. According to sources, three persons on the scooter died on the spot while the four-wheeler overturned following the incident.

Five passengers including the driver of the car were injured and later admitted to the hospital.

A police investigation is currently underway.
