3 killed, 1 critically injured in separate accidents across Odisha

Balasore/Boudh: Three persons lost their lives in separate road accidents in Balasore and Boudh in last 12 hours. At least two persons were killed and one sustained critical injuries in a multi-vehicle accident near Dandakali temple under Khantapada police limits in the district late night on Thursday.

The incident occurred when a stone-laden truck hit a stationary truck, killing the driver and a woman at the spot.

Subsequently, the same truck hit a stationary bus and rammed into a tea-stall following which one person sustained critical injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

After getting information, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.

In another mishap, a biker was killed after falling into a drain on national highway-57 near Puruna Cuttack in Boudh district. The deceased has been identified as Bhagirathi Sethi of Rambikata village in Boudh.
