Bhubaneswar: Probing financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 10.27 crore in the Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation, the Vigilance department has registered cases against three persons.

The irregularities were reported in the Bhawanipatna division of the corporation and the Vigilance sleuths have registered cases against the corporation’s joint manager Achyutananda Routray, junior assistant Bishnu Charan Behera and clerk Mahbir Das.

According to sources, seven cases have been registered against the three. Notably, the irregularities took place between 2009 and 2014. Bunglings have been detected in 38 projects spread across Kalahandi, Subarnapur, Nuapada and Bolagir police stations along with construction of Fire Stations and barracks.

Moreover, the Orissa High Court’s order on the false graft case against former Odisha DGP Prakash Mishra is being reviewed by the Vigilance department, informed Vigilance director K.B. Singh.
