Rourkela: Three persons, including two women, were arrested and ten quintals of kendua leaves seized by railway police from Sambalpur-Howrah Express train, railway police said today.

The three were illegally transporting the contraband worth about Rs one lakh from Bagdihi to Howrah when they were arrested on Sunday by a joint team of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP), they said.

All three accused belonging to Kharagpur were today forwarded to a local court which remanded them to jail custody.
