25 people injured as bus hits tree

Rourkela: At least 25 people were injured, 10 of them seriously, when a bus belonging to a sponge iron company met with an accident near Kunmun chowk along SH-10, about 45 km from here, police said today.

The employees of the company were returning to their respective homes after duty hour by the company bus last night when it hit a road side tree causing injuries to almost all employees travelling in the bus.

The injured were rushed to Rajgangpur hospital where 10 were admitted and rest were discharged after fast-aid.

Four of the seriously injured including the driver were subsequently shifted to Ispat General Hospital here this morning.
