Bhubaneswar: The higher education department on Friday published the second cut-off list for admission into different streams of Plus II course in various junior colleges across the State. According to officials, the admission process basing on the second selection list this will be completed on July 8 and 9.

As expected, BJB Junior college in the State capital stood top in the cut off mark list for science stream recording 91.02%. Ravenshaw Junior college was the second most preferred college with cut-off mark of 90.67% followed by Ramadevi Women’s Autonomous College’s 84.50%.

The figure of other prominent colleges for admission into science stream are 88.83%,  85.33%, 85%, 81% and 80.17% in Basic Science College, Sailabala Women’s college, Khallikote college, SCS college, Puri, and Gangadhar Meher college, respectively.

Similarly in commerce, the cut-off marks for BJB Junior college stands at 78.67% while the figure at Ravenshaw Junior college is 77.33%. The cut-off percentage of other colleges are: Ramadevi Women’s college-60.8%, Khallikote-67%, Gangadhar Meher college-60.83% and SCS College-60.33%.

In arts stream, the cut-off marks for various colleges are, BJB Junior college-63.83%, Ravenshaw Junior college-63.33%, SCS college-62.67%, Sailabala Women’s college-61%, Ramadevi Women’s college- 56.05%, Khallikote college-51.85%, Gangadhar Meher college-48%.

After the second phase admission, if seats still remain vacant, there will be spot admission on July 20 for those unfilled seats, officials said.
