Jharsuguda: Two girls suffered critical injuries after reportedly falling off a moving train near Bagdehi Railway Station in Jharsuguda. As per reports, the incident took place around 11 AM today when the girls fell off the Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express.

While one of the girls suffered an injury on her leg, the other sustained a head injury. The girls were initially admitted to District Headquarters Hospital in Jharsuguda, but were later shifted to Burla hospital in Sambalpur.

The circumstances under which the girls fell off the train are yet to be ascertained. Sources said some social workers and railway officials rescued the girls from near the tracks and admitted them to hospital.

Station master of Bagdehi, R K Senapati said, "Utkal Express passed through the station at 10:54 AM. After getting information that two girls were lying on the track, I reached the spot and sent them to hospital. Later they were referred to Burla hospital."
