Balasore/Keonjhar: Two persons sustained grievous injuries in separate bear attack incidents across the State.

One of the injured has been identified as Jayaram Singh of Rangapur village of Jamudiha panchayat in Balasore. As per reports, when Singh accompanied by his brother had gone to the nearby forest to attend nature's call, a bear attacked them.

Though Singh's brother escaped unhurt, Singh was mauled by the wild animal resulting into grievous injuries on face, head, back and hand. Later Singh was rushed to the Balasore district headquarters hospital.

In another case, a villager of Adharajhari village in Anandpur of Keonjhar district suffered bear attack while going outside to relieve himself.

The injured, identified as Renga Ho have been admitted to the Anandpur hospital in critical condition.

The second attack took place in Adharjhari village of Anandapur, Keonjhar, where a person named RangaHo had went to attend defecate in the open. Suddenly he was attacked by a bear and was critically injured. He was later rushed to Anandpur hospital for treatment.
