Bhubaneswar: At least 14 holi revellers drowned and another was missing while taking bath in different water-bodies after celebrating holi, the festival of colours on Thursday.

According to reports, three youths died while taking bath in river Bhargavi and one in river Daya on the outskirts of the state capital. These have been identified as Bhabani Shankar Pattnaik and Sitanshu Panda of Old Bhubaneswar and, Jitendra Mallick of Bhimtangi area.

Meanwhile police and fire brigade personnel on Friday morning recovered the bodies of Jnanaranjan Garabadu and Manas from the Bhargavi river siphon at Balakati on the outskirt of the city. The youths missing since yesterday afternoon belong to Old Town area, sources said.

Similarly two other deaths have been reported from Cuttack Road and Nayapalli areas here.

While two persons died in Kendrapara district after being swept away by river water, one death each came from Nayagarh and Ganjam districts, police said.
