12 suspended for malpractice in HSC exam

Bhubaneswar: With reports of irregularities at examination centres of the on going High School Certificate (HSC) examination, four center superintendents in the Dhenkanal education circle and one at Dhamnagar in Bhadrak are placed under suspension on Friday.

Moreover, six teachers and one peon were also suspended on complaints of irregularities and malpractice during the exam.

“As per the report of the squad that visited examination centres, two superintendents are suspended for irregularities and two peons are suspended for helping the students in malpractice”, said Ranjan Kumar Giri, Circle Inspector of Dhenkanal.

Meanwhile, imposters were held while appearing the exam. Among the two examinees in Dhenkanal, one was appearing for his brother while the other was appearing for his brother’s friend.

 In a similar incident, two other fake examinees were arrested from Harihar high school in Aska while three were detained for interrogation.
