Bhadrak: As many as ten persons sustained injuries after a bus smashed into a stationary dumper from behind near Asura Chhak on NH-16 in Bhadrak district late last night.

As per reports, the ill-fated ‘Dolphin’ bus was en route to Kolkata from Puri when the vehicle rammed into the dumper parked on the roadside.

All the injured have been rushed to Bhadrak District Headquarter Hospital (DHH). Four of them identified as a couple Tapan Chaudhary and Sipra Choudhary of West Bengal, two others Md Kamual and Samna Rana have received grievous injuries and their condition is stated to be critical.

Police and fire personnel rushed to the spot after getting information and rescued the trapped passengers from inside the bus. The police have also started investigation to establish the exact cause of the mishap.
