Rourkela: Altogether 10 BJD activists were injured when a jeep in which they were travelling hit against a road side tree on Tensa Barsuan Road under Tensa police limit in Sundargarh district this morning.

Police said, the party activists were travelling from Tantara village to Lahunipada to participate in Chief minister Naveen Patnaik`s election rally at Lahunipada today when the accident occurred.

All the injured were first admitted to SAIL hospital at Tensa from where seven, whose condition was serious, were shifted to Ispat General Hospital here. The driver of the jeep fled from the spot after the accident.
