1 killed, 6 critically injured in road accident in Sonepur

Sonepur: One person was killed and six others were critically injured after the car they were travelling in met with an accident in Rangapur area of Sonepur.

As per reports, the driver lost control of the four-wheeler following which the vehicle skidded off the road and overturned on Sibatula-Lukapada road. All the passengers were returning from a wedding when the incident took place.

The deceased, Rabi Thanapati, a resident of Baidyanath village died on the spot and the critically injured persons were rushed by the locals to Sonepur hospital for treatment.

In two separate incidents, on February 16, two persons were killed and eight others sustained injuries after the vehicles carrying marriage parties met with accidents in Keonjhar and Kendrapara districts.
