1.03 lakh aspirants take OJEE

Bhubaneswar: As many as one lakh three thousand aspirants for different categories including engineering (BTech), MTech, MBA, MCA, Bachlor of pharmacy, homoeopathy and ayurveda appeared in the Odisha joint entrance examination (OJEE) at 162 centres in and outside the State on Sunday.

The test has been conducted in two sittings. The first sitting started from 9 am to 1 pm and the second one began from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. in four sessions, OJEE authorities said.

Security has been the main focus for this year’s examination. Video recording  has been conducted during opening of the sealed question papers and sealing of answers sheets.

The government has decided to put in place a two-tier observer system for the OJEE.

There will be no negative marking in OJEE this year and each of the candidates will get their rank cards.

Results of the examination would be announced by the first week of June, they added.
