Khurda: Panic gripped the main road in Khurda after a four-wheeler went on a rampage causing a series of accidents in the town today afternoon. Local residents, who were taken aback by the accidents, managed to catch the four occupants of the car including a girl and thrashed them before handing them over to the police.
According to sources, 3 youths and a girl stated to be college students were returning to Bhubaneswar from Satkosia when their speeding car caused several accidents in Nayagarh area.
The vehicle also hit a Bol Bom devotee and collided against a few bikes while passing through the crowded main road of Khurda market.
Local bystanders and several others who followed the car after witnessing the accidents nabbed the occupants from inside of the vehicle after the speeding car broke through a barricade and crashed into a farmland near Gurujanga.
Finding the three youths in an inebriated condition, locals thrashed them. After receiving information, police reached the spot and took the three youths and the girl into custody.
