Bhadrak: A woman today levelled harassment charges against a doctor of Barapada Community Health Centre in Bhadrak district.
As per reports, the woman was in a relationship with doctor Pramod Khara who is in-charge of the Barapada Community Health Centre. As per allegations, Khara maintained physical relationship with the woman on the pretext of marriage. However, the doctor, who is already married allegedly kept his marital status secret from the woman. Moreover, the doctor allegedly refused to marry the woman and also abused her when she demanded him to marry.
"He promised to marry me and we were together for one and a half years. I did not know that he was married. Later, his wife pressed charges and he was arrested. After I bailed him, he has been harassing me and threatening to kill me, if I try to contact him," said the complainant.
In a response to the incident, Town Police Station in-charge, Sarojini Singh said, "We have received the woman's complaint. An FIR has been lodged against the doctor and investigation is underway."
