Wedding gift blast accused Punjilal Meher shifted to Bolangir jail

Bolangir: The mastermind of the sensational Patnagarh wedding gift blast case, Punjilal Meher was shifted from Patnagarh sub-jail to Bolangir jail today. In order to avoid any untoward situation in the jail due to the activities of Meher, a decision has been taken as per the order of district additional judge, informed sources.

Recently, there were allegations that Punjilal has been inciting other inmates of the jail and the decision to shift him to Bolangir jail was on account of the same.

"He will be kept in a separate cell and will not be allowed to come in contact with other prisoners. He will not get any scope to create any sort of disturbances in the district jail" said Jailor of Bolangir Jail, Sanjay Burma.
