Weather Alert! Thunderstorm warning for 10 districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar issued moderate thunderstorm warning for 10 districts of the State till 5.30 pm today.

The alert has been issued for Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Koraput and Keonjhar districts.

Moderate thunderstorm/lightning and gusty wind speed ranging from 30kmph to 40kmph and light rainfall are likely to occur at one or two places of these districts, said the Met.

On Friday, nine districts in Odisha recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius. While Bolangir recorded the highest temperature at 42.2 degree Celsius, Angul & Talcher sizzled at 42.1 degree Celsius.
