Bhubaneswar: The IMD's Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that the minimum temperature in most parts of the State is likely to witness a gradual rise in the next few days.
Met Centre Director HR Biswas on Thursday said that due to rising tendency in minimum temperature (night temperature), mercury is likely to rise by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at many places in Odisha in the next 4 to 5 days.
"Maximum temperature is also likely to rise by 1 to 2 degree Celius during the period," said Biswas.
The present temperature trend shows that most parts of Odisha continue to remain 2 to 3 degree Celsius below the normal, said the weatherman.
While forecast says that dry weather will prevail over most districts of the State, shallow to moderate fog also possible in North coastal Odisha like Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and adjoining interior parts of the State.
The weather department has issued Yellow Warning for Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack. Jagatsinghpur, as dense fog is likely in the four districts of the State in the next five days.
On Wednesday, Phulbani recorded the State's lowest temperature of 7.8 degree Celius while Bhubaneswar was the highest temperature recording city with 33.6 degree Celsius.
Hill station G Udaygiri recorded the lowest of 5.4 degree Celius while mercury also touched 8.5 degree Celsius in Similiguda.
