Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has predicted lightning and a brief spell of rain in seven districts of the State today evening.
One or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda and Cuttack districts will experience light thundershower and lightning with one or two spells of rainfall between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM today, said a released issued by the centre.
The rainfall is not expected to be intense and long-lasting, said sources at the centre.
Odisha has so far received a deficient rainfall of 22 %. However, as several parts of the State received rainfall in the past couple of days, there is a hope that the overall deficit is likely to come down.
