Bhubaneswar: With a view to identify hidden talents in schools of the city and provide them platform to showcase their skills, a singing competition 'Voice of School' was held in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The event was organised by the SS Parivar Foundation at Jaydev Bhawan here.
While as many as 250 students from various schools had participated in the event, only nine participants could manage to enter the grand finale.
Among the judges were renowned Odia Music director and composer Manmath Mishra and Geeta Das and the junior singers were accompanied by eminent musicians of the State.
Padma Vibhusan and Rajya Sabha member Raghunath Mohapatra graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the event, a member of the SS Parivar Foundation said, "There are hidden talents inside every student. We are encouraging them by providing a platform to showcase their talent."
