Village boy confesses to house burning charges
Nayagarh: To everybody’s nightmare, six incidents of burning of the houses were reported in last two months in the Kendupidhi village here. After a few days of man-hunt, Santosh Pradhan a village boy has confessed to the severe charges against him.
Since the houses routinely went in flames in the midnights, everybody had doubts that it could be some supernatural act. Since there was no substantial proof and nothing was convincing, villagers decided to start man-hunt suspecting the involvement of miscreants.
After as many as 96 houses were burnt and as many as 50 families suffered severe losses — it raised an alarm among the villagers who decided to guard the village in the night to catch the culprit in the act.
However, the mental imbalance of the boy is suspected to be reason behind this horribly mischievous act.
