Video of man influencing voters inside polling booth goes viral

Bhawanipatna: A video of a man persuading voters inside booth no-69 of Khariar Assembly constituency in Kalahandi to cast their votes in favour of a particular political party during the first phase polls on April 11 has now gone viral on social media.

Soon after the video surfaced, BJP candidate Ritarani Bagarti expressed doubts over the fairness of polls and demanded re-polling in the booth.

"During the first phase elections, a man named Subash Behera was seen persuading voters to vote for Congress in a polling booth in Chadarmal village. Later, we brought the matter to the notice of SP, Collector and Election Commission demanding action against the accused and repolling," said Bagarti.

Meanwhile, the district administration officials are yet to respond on the entire incident.
