Bhubaneswar: The Utkal University will be converted in to a digital varsity soon after which all academic and administrative affairs- beginning from admission to publication of results- will be fully computerized. It was decided in a high level review meeting chaired by CM Naveen Patnaik on Friday at State Secretariat.
 
The Odisha Knowledge Corporation will implement the digitization move. There will also be similar initiatives in other state universities.
 
The CM asked the officials concerned to prepare a Draft Bill for an open university in the State for which the State Finance department has made Rs 30 crore budgetary allocation. The university will function from the Utkal university campus, sources said.
