Bhubaneswar: With Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik slated to address the students’ union function of Utkal University for the first time, faculty members and students are leaving no stones unturned to make the occasion grand and memorable.

'Our preparations are ready and we are trying to make it successful as both students and staff are lending their full support’, said students’ union president Rajeshraj Swain.

The much-awaited event is scheduled to be held at the old convocation ground of the university.
‘We are striving hard to make this event successful and build a brand for Utkal University in Higher Education for which government’s support is very essential’, said vice-chancellor Ashok Das.

Meanwhile, the chief minister, who will attend the event along with six other ministers and MLAs, will lay the foundation stone of two girls’ hostels and one boys’ hostel.
