Bhubaneswar: Two diploma engineering students drowned in a pond in Bhubaneswar here today, police said. The incident occurred at Jamukoli panchayat pond when the two diploma engineering students of a private college went to the pond after attending nature`s call.But both of them slipped into the deep water and drowned, the police said. The two were identified as Lakshyapati Nayak from Phulbani and Saroj Barik of Rourkela. A few months back, in a similar incident two students of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) had drowned in Jhumuka dam on the outskirt of Bhubaneswar city.
