Keonjhar: As the country pays a moment of silence to mark the second anniversary of Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir which claimed lives of 40 soldiers, a resident of Odisha has launched free auto rickshaw service in his area remembering the ultimate sacrifice by the country's brave hearts.
Narendra Sena, a resident of Anandapur area in Keonjhar has launched free auto service facility for three days and commuters can travel in his vehicle to Ghasipura bazaar+, Medical, Jhadeswar temple and Fatareswar temple free of cost.
"Under this initiative, I will provide free auto rickshaw service from Anadapur bus stand to Ghasipura hospital. Students can also avail the service to commute Women's College and Anandapur College," said Narendra Sena.
Welcoming Sena's initiative, Akhila Jena, a retired administrative officer said, "We are safe because of our security forces. But it is really unfortunate that no one remembers their sacrifices. What Sena has done, is really appreciable. Just like soldiers guard our borders, Sena is a man who has compromised his earning to help others."
"Service to mankind is service to god. Everyone should follow the footprint of Sena and remember the supreme sacrifice made by our security forces," said Subas Kumar Nayak, a local.
Notably, two years ago on this day, Pakistan-sponsored Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out the dastardly attack on a CRPF convoy of 70 vehicles resulting in the death of 40 jawans in Pulwama area of Jammu and Kashmir.
