Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the damages caused to railway track between Doikalu and Ambodala stations in Rayagada-Titilagarh railway section following heavy rains, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has either cancelled or diverted several passenger and Express trains running on the route.
In a release, the ECoR said massive floods and rain in Rayagada area have badly damaged the track and bottom soil/ballast were washed out in between Doikalu and Ambodala late night on August 6. Due to heavy rains, restoration work has been badly hampered at site.
One line is likely to be fit by this evening whereas trains on the second line will run by early morning tomorrow, the release added.
Emergency Control rooms have been set up in Sambalpur and Bhubaneswar. Besides, Divisional Railway Manager, Sambalpur, Jayadeep Gupta, is camping at site, overseeing all restoration work, the release stated.

CANCELLATION OF TRAINS ON August 8

In the return direction, 18438 will originate from Rayagada instead of Junagarh Road on 09.08.2019. Services of this train will remain cancelled between Rayagada & Junagarh Road from both the directions on 09.08.2019.
02. 18301/18302 Sambalpur-Rayagada-Sambalpur Express will run between Sambalpur & Titilagarh and will remain cancelled between Titilagarh and Rayagada from both the directions on 09.08.2019.
