Bhubaneswar: A trader was robbed of Rs 44000 while travelling in Mo Bus in the State capital on Saturday. The loot incident has now put a serious challenge before the Commissionerate Police.
Reports said that one Karunakar Pradhan, who is stated to be a businessman, was travelling in a Mo Bus when someone allegedly plundered Rs 44000 from him that he had brought on loan for buying a motor bike.
Soon after the incident, Pradhan immediately filed a written complaint at the Mo Bus head office near Sum Hospital and also lodged an FIR at Khandagiri Police Station.
Pradhan presumed that he might have been looted inside the bus somewhere on the route between Fire Station square and Sum Hospital.
While the capital urban transport authorities have expressed shock over the incident as it happened inside the bus well-fitted with CCTV surveillance systems, police have begun probe into the incident after assimiliating footages of CCTV camera.
Narrating about the incident, Pradhan said, “I had borrowed the amount to buy a motorcycle but I don’t know how I was looted while travelling in the bus. The happening of the loot is also not clearly discernible from the camera footages so now I am worried as to how will I get my money back.”
