Trader, Farmer Attacked In Separate Incidents In Odisha

Ganjam: Three back-to-back incidents of brutal attacks by miscreants in the past four days have created terror in the minds of local residents of Digapahandi area of Ganjam district.

According to sources, a group of five bike-borne miscreants attacked two persons including a businessman and a farmer in a broad daylight on Friday.

The miscreants first attacked a businessman identified as Krushna Sahu with sharp weapons near Deokhali Square in the afternoon. Sahu, who sustained critical injuries in the attack, is now undergoing treatment at MKCG medical college and hospital. His condition is stated to be critical.

Similarly, the same accused later attacked a farmer named Bijay Sethi at Karapada village. The injured farmer was initially rushed to Digapahandi hospital and later shifted to MKCG hospital.

It is alleged that all the accused persons hail from Deokhali village.

On December 3, a youth who works as a junior clerk at Sevananda Degree College at Bomkai under Digapahandi area in Ganjam district had sustained multiple injuries after he was brutally attacked by miscreants with sharp weapons.

The entire act was also captured in CCTV camera installed near the crime spot.
