Thunderstorm, lightning alert for 10 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for ten districts of Odisha till 2 PM today.

As per the latest bulletin of the IMD, rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning is likely to occur at many places over Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Angul, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Jajpur districts.

The people in the district have been advised to stay indoors during these hours.

On Sunday, Nor’wester rain lashed several districts of Odisha with sandstorm at the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and the nearby areas.
