Three of a family critical after acid attack in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: In a shocking incident, three persons have been critically injured after unidentified miscreants threw acid at them in Mahakalpara area of the district here late on Tuesday night.

According to information, one Himansu Barik, his wife Namita Barik and their two-year-old girl Subhashree sustained severe injuries after some unidentified miscreants attacked them with acid while they were sleeping in their house at Patali Panka village under Mahakalpara block.

Critically injured, all three of them were rushed to a private hospital in Cuttack.

The exact reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. Police has begun probe into the incident.
