Three minors of a family drown in pond

Baripada: Three minor girls on Tuesday drowned while taking bath in a pond at Tadisahi of Badabila village under Sadar police limits in Mayurbhanj district.

The deceased have been identified as three sisters- Parbati Murmu (12) and Rajashree Murmu (10), and their cousin Kabi Murmu (8).

As per sources, the three sisters along with their mother had gone to the nearby pond to take a bath when the mishap occurred.

Though they were later rescued and rushed to the Baripada hospital, doctors declared them brought dead.

Following the mishap, a pall of gloom has descended in the area.
