Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) today extended due dates for TDS compliance in respect of deductors in Odisha. The relaxation has been made keeping in view the genuine hardship faced by the deductors due to the severe disruption of normal life and breakdown of communication systems caused during cyclone "Fani" which hit the State on May 3, the CBDT informed.

As per the official notification, the extended due date for depositing tax deducted at source (TDS) for the month of April 2019 was earlier extended till May 20 from May 7, 2019.

The date for filing the quarterly statement of TDS for the last financial quarter of 2018-19 has been extended to June 30, 2019 from May 31, 2019. The date of issuance of TDS certificates in form 16 and form 16 A has been extended to July 15 from June 15, 2019.
