Bhubaneswar: Odisha School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister Samir Dash on Thursday hinted at stern action against officials while asserting that question papers of annual matriculation examination will not go viral this year.
Exuding confidence, Dash said that question papers of the annual high school certificate examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will not go viral this year as a special coding system has been introduced to curb such incident. In case the confidential documents go viral, stern action will be taken against the official in charge of the examination centre.
“I do not think that the question paper will go viral this time. If the question paper goes viral from any centre or any student, action will be taken against them,” Dash said.
The minister further stated that earlier problems were being faced to immediately track from which centre the question papers were going viral.
“There won't be delay in identifying the circumstances, source from where question papers have been leaked or made viral this time. The moment the question papers is out on social media, it can be ascertained immediately. Whoever will be responsible, stern action will be taken,” Dash added.

The annual HSC examination for class 10 students will commence from February 19 and conclude on March 2.
Notably, there were numerous instances in the past in which question papers of various examinations had gone viral on several social media platforms.
Last year, the MIL question paper allegedly went viral on social media within an hour of the distribution on the first day of the HSC exam.
The Odia question paper had gone viral on social media platforms in Nuapada and Dhenkanal districts. Several officials were arrested in connection with the incident, sources said.
